A complex marriage of industry and urban greenway, this project established a people-friendly connection through Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District to the Willamette River. Goals achieved include diversion of stormwater runoff from city sewers, enhanced bicycle and pedestrian access, improved watershed health and maintenance of freight and business activities. (KPFF Project)

  • Incorporates green street design into an industrial neighborhood.

  • Features stormwater curb extensions and stormwater planters with railroad rail check dams.

  • 1% for art participant. Multiple installations by artist Linda Wysong are incorporated within stormwater planter walls along the sidewalk.
