A neighborhood blight turned into a green community oasis, this imaginative project incorporated sustainable stormwater facilities that filter 500,000 gallons per year—almost enough to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool. (KPFF Project)
Sustainable Features:
Two dry riverbed creeks weave along the site’s edge and between building and parking lot to convey stormwater into a rain garden.
Naturescaping , permeable pavers and crushed gravel surfaces provide sustainable stormwater treatment for runoff which filters through and infiltrates the ground.
